Welcome to Right There Plumbing!
Plumbing a single-story home is somewhat straightforward compared to tying together multiple floor levels…completely changes the game.
Customer Issue
A large new home build in Bardstown required a multi-level DWV (drain, waste, and vent) framework spanning a basement, main floor, and upper level without risking vacuum locks, noisy pipes, or code violations down the road.
What We Did
It is still in-progress and will be an extensive multi-day rough-in. Our crew has mapped out the central stack locations, routed PVC drain and vent lines across all three floors, and aligned vertical runs to guarantee smooth wastewater flow and equalized air pressure throughout the home.
Why It Matters
Plumbing multiple stories requires engineering foresight. As water drops from an upper floor, velocity builds, creating strong vacuum pressure inside the pipes. Without proper stack venting and correct pipe sizing, that suction can siphon water out of lower-floor drain traps, letting toxic sewer gases inside or causing basement drains to gurgle and back up. Doing it right in the framing phase protects your home long after the drywall goes up.
