Welcome to Right There Plumbing!
Building a new home means putting complete trust in the work that eventually gets hidden behind drywall.
Customer Issue
On this custom build in Crab Orchard, the layout called for a clean, code-conscious plumbing rough-in across the bathrooms and laundry room to ensure fast drainage and complete sewer gas protection.
What We Did
Trenton and Wyatt handled the rough-in phase for this home. They installed the complete drain, waste, and vent (DWV) system and run PEX water lines. In the laundry room, they mounted the outlet box, set up the P-trap, and routed vertical vents through the wall studs.
Result
A quiet, code-compliant DWV system that drains smoothly, passes inspection, and leaves the home ready for drywall.
Why It Matters
Every fixture relies on two key components: a P-trap and a vent pipe. The P-trap holds a standing water seal that stops foul, dangerous sewer gas from backing into your living space. The vent pipe supplies air pressure so waste moves freely—much like holding the air cap open on a water jug so it pours smoothly. Without proper venting, gravity pulls water right out of the P-trap, breaking that seal.
During the job, we noticed a handwritten note on the stud framing. Even with the quality wood and workmanship of this place, it was a good reminder of what really holds up things in life’s uncertainties and gives peace behind those walls.
