Plumbing & HVAC Coordination During Rough-Ins – Bardstown, KY 40004

Look closely at every photo and you’ll see HVAC ductwork and vent cutouts sharing the exact same framing bays as the plumbing pipes. A smooth build comes down to how well the different trades respect each other’s space.

Customer Issue The builder needed a full plumbing rough-in for a new home in Bardstown, requiring a layout strategy that allowed plumbing lines and bulky HVAC ductwork to run side-by-side without interference.

What We Did Our team continues to install the drain, waste, and vent lines, carefully routing every PVC pipe tight to joist bays and stud walls so the heating and air crew had clear, unblocked paths for their sheet metal trunks, flex ducts, and floor vents.

Result A clean, code-compliant plumbing layout where every picture shows seamless co-existence between plumbing runs and HVAC ducting—preventing costly conflicts among the different trades.

Why It Matters Plumbing and HVAC share the tightest cavities in a home. As you can see in these project photos, from the floor vent cutouts next to our stack vents down to the sheet metal trunks running parallel to our drain lines, spatial awareness is everything. When pipes are run carelessly, downstream trades are forced to cut around them. In fact, next week we’re fixing water lines on another job where duct installers had to tear down plumbing. Smart layout planning saves everyone time and money.

Final Plumbing Trim Out – Springfield, KY 40069

August 8th, 2026 Recent Work
Exterior copper water heater T&P safety relief discharge pipe terminating downward through house siding.

Walking through a completed home build is always rewarding, especially when every fixture looks sharp and the safety systems behind the scenes are dialed in.

Customer Issue: The owner needed a final plumbing trim-out for two bathrooms, a kitchen sink, and a high-efficiency electric water heater on a new build in Springfield.

What We Did: Our team completed the final trim, installing toilets, vanity faucets, kitchen fixtures, a Reliance water heater with an expansion tank, and exterior safety discharge piping.

Result: A clean, fully leak-tested plumbing installation built for years of smooth, worry-free operation.

Why It Matters: Ever notice that copper pipe sticking out of the exterior siding near the foundation while mowing the lawn? That’s the water heater’s Temperature and Pressure (T&P) Relief Valve discharge line. If your water heater ever overheats or builds excess pressure, this valve opens to safely route boiling water outside to grade rather than flooding your utility room or causing an indoor hazard. It’s a crucial code-required safety detail connected directly to your water heater inside.

Here to Help: Kudos to David, Tanner, and Everett for another clean finish! Building or renovating in Springfield (40069) or anywhere in Central Kentucky? Trust Right There Plumbing to get every detail right. Explore our Plumbing Services page or reach out today!

Washing Machine Drain Backup – Harrodsburg, KY 40330

August 8th, 2026 Recent Work
Close-up of bathtub P-trap and shared branch drain piping under subfloor framing.

Right There Plumbing did not do the original plumbing in this home in the picture.  When we visit a home for a plumbing issue, we often inherit plumbing we didn’t build. But our goal is always to deliver fair, sensible solutions without pushing costly, unnecessary rebuilds.

Customer Issue

In this service call, a Harrodsburg homeowner noticed their washing machine backing up wastewater straight into their bathtub basin during spin cycles.

What We Did

Trenton and Wyatt from our team crawled underneath the house to trace the system and find the issue. They cleared the downstream restriction in the shared branch line and corrected any pipe pitch to keep water moving.

Why It Matters

Washing machine pumps discharge 20 to 30 gallons per minute. When laundry and bathtub lines share a 2-inch drain branch, the tub sits at the lowest elevation. Any bottleneck downstream forces surging water back up into the tub. While this crawl space setup wasn’t necessarily how we’d install it from scratch, being a reliable plumber means fixing the problem fairly—clearing the issue and keeping money in the customer’s pocket.

Precision Plumbing Work – Bardstown, KY 40004

August 6th, 2026 Recent Work
Clean PVC DWV pipe rough-in with aligned manufacturer lettering running through wooden roof trusses.

Look closely at our rough-in work, and you’ll notice something unusual: every line of text printed on our pipes faces the exact same direction.

Customer Issue

On a major multi-story new build in Bardstown, the owner and general contractor wanted a high-quality plumbing framework that every other tradesman on site could also respect.  Our team continued progress today on this extensive rough-in, routing PVC drain and vent stacks through floor joists and roof trusses while carefully aligning every length of pipe.

Why It Matters

Does aligning the manufacturer text on PVC pipes make wastewater flow any better? Truthfully, no—the water inside a pipe couldn’t care less which way the letters point! But in plumbing, how you do anything is how you do everything. Aligning pipe lettering is one mark of true craft pride that is important to our company owner Robbie Baker and all the crew. When a plumber takes extra time to square up details nobody sees behind drywall, you are more confident that every glue joint, slope, and vent angle was executed with equal perfection. Other trades respect it, inspectors appreciate it, and homeowners get complete peace of mind.

Kitchen Sink Leak Repair – Willisburg, KY 40078

August 6th, 2026 Recent Work
Under-sink plumbing repair inside a kitchen cabinet in Willisburg, KY.

Google “picture of a plumber” and you’ll mainly see the classic joke about a plumber squeezed under a kitchen sink cabinet halfway hanging out.  Truth is, under-sink spaces are tight and uncomfortable – but that’s ok.  We take crawling into those tight spaces seriously so that you don’t have to.

Customer Issue

A homeowner noticed water leaking under their kitchen sink.  That is a threat to cabinetry and subflooring and can even produce hidden rot and mold.  So Trenton from our team crawled under the cabinet, identified and repaired all the leaks.  Now the customer has a clean, dry kitchen cabinet and protection against costly water damage.

Why It Matters

Under-sink leaks are no fun and can sneak up on a homeowner. A slow trickle hiding behind dish soap and sponges can silently warp cabinet wood, ruin flooring, and encourage mold growth long before anyone spots the puddle. DIY fixes often rely on quick putty or mismatched plastic slip-nuts that fail under hot water expansion. Calling a professional plumber ensures correct P-trap geometry, proper seals, and code-compliant shutoff valves that hold up to heavy daily kitchen use.

Here to Help

Huge thanks to Trenton for diving in to fix the kitchen sink leaks! For honest, reliable repairs in Willisburg (40078) or anywhere across Central Kentucky, Right There Plumbing has your back. Check out our Plumbing Services or give us a call today!

Multi-Story Plumbing – Bardstown, KY 40004

August 4th, 2026 Recent Work
Wood-framed multi-story home under construction showing PVC drain and vent stack rough-in piping running through wall studs between floor levels.

Plumbing a single-story home is somewhat straightforward compared to tying together multiple floor levels…completely changes the game.

Customer Issue

A large new home build in Bardstown required a multi-level DWV (drain, waste, and vent) framework spanning a basement, main floor, and upper level without risking vacuum locks, noisy pipes, or code violations down the road.

What We Did

It is still in-progress and will be an extensive multi-day rough-in. Our crew has mapped out the central stack locations, routed PVC drain and vent lines across all three floors, and aligned vertical runs to guarantee smooth wastewater flow and equalized air pressure throughout the home.

Why It Matters

Plumbing multiple stories requires engineering foresight. As water drops from an upper floor, velocity builds, creating strong vacuum pressure inside the pipes. Without proper stack venting and correct pipe sizing, that suction can siphon water out of lower-floor drain traps, letting toxic sewer gases inside or causing basement drains to gurgle and back up. Doing it right in the framing phase protects your home long after the drywall goes up.

Here to Help

Will post more later on this multi-story setup – but great work so far from David and Everett!
